Patis Bakery Signs Retail Lease with GDSNY at 28&7

New York, NY – GDS Development Management (GDSNY) and Corem announced today that they have signed a 15-year lease at 28&7 with Patis Bakery, the artisanal European bakery. Patis will take 2,000-square-feet of the ground floor as well as 1,900 square feet of basement space.

Patis Bakery is an artisanal patisserie that specializes in French and Belgian pastries, ice creams, macarons, chocolates and coffees. They also offer a wide variety of food services including soups, paninis, salads, bagels, and freshly baked bread. Patis has been expanding through the metro region over the past several years. This location will be its 12th in New York City.

28&7 is a new Class-A boutique office building in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. Located at the corner of 28th Street and Seventh Avenue, directly adjacent to the Fashion Institute of Technology, the building stands at a dynamic crossroads—with the NoMad district to the east and Penn Station and Hudson Yards just minutes to the west.

Designed by world renown architects Skidmore Ownings & Merrill (SOM), the twelve-story building features a bold yet timelessly elegant facade, expressed as a structural grid of black glazed terracotta. The reflective black glaze distinguishes the building from its masonry neighbors and creates an elegant silhouette along Seventh Avenue. The building is LEED® Gold certified.

“We are delighted to welcome Patis Bakery to 28&7,” says Michael Kirchmann, CEO of GDSNY. “This will be an incredible high-quality amenity for our office tenants as well as for the neighborhood as a whole.”

GDSNY and Corem were represented by Mike Paster and Ariel Schuster of Newmark. Yoel Gorjian of Winick Realty Group represented Patis.
