Global Design Strategies (GDS) has designed and completed construction on a striking new 80 foot long artwall installation on Park Avenue in New York City.

The project developers engaged GDS to develop a bold design statement for a 80’x18′ feature wall on the main façade of the building facing Park Avenue. Using a material palette of glass and aluminum fins, the artwork employs a dynamic surface geometry that changes depending on the viewer’s vantage point. The changing physicality of the surface is further emphasized when viewed from a raised vantage point or from the street, and uses light and shadow to create depth and movement along the building’s façade. Completed in July 2013.
