John Varin is a Director at GDSNY with a focus on Asset Management, Acquisitions, Development, and investment management. He is responsible for managing the firm’s debt and equity portfolio and sourcing, negotiating, and structuring new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining GDSNY, John was the Vice President of Development & Investment at Trammel Crow Company where he directed $2B+ in real estate development across 22 projects totaling 11.2M SF, delivering 30%+ IRR and 175+ bps in development yield premiums. Prior to that he was at Bain Capital Real Estate where he worked in real estate acquisition and development.

John holds an MBA degree from Harvard University and and also attended Stanford University and Oregon State University for undergrad.
