Shawn Dacey is the Head of Asset Management at GDSNY, where he oversees and optimizes the financial and operational performance of the firm’s equity and debt portfolios. His responsibilities include debt and equity management, lease negotiations, strategic business planning, and structuring new investment opportunities. Throughout his career, Shawn has managed several of New York City’s most iconic office properties, including the Seagram Building, the Chrysler Building, 195 Broadway, and 425 Park Avenue.
Prior to joining GDSNY, Shawn served as Vice President of Asset Management at RFR Holdings, where he was involved in approximately $3 billion of asset dispositions, refinancings, and loan modifications. He previously held asset management roles at Brookfield Properties and L&L Holding Company.
In addition to his professional experience, Shawn is an adjunct professor at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate and an instructor with Project Destined, where he teaches and lectures on commercial real estate concepts, asset management theory, and financial modeling.
Shawn holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University and earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta.
