As Director of Acquisitions, Michael examines real estate opportunities in the five boroughs that align with the GDS platform. His market knowledge allows GDS to examine and underwrite all asset classes and select the most desirable opportunities to provide our investors with superior returns.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Maryland Scholar’s Program. His background includes 8 years of experience on Wall Street, structuring and negotiating transactions with many of the largest financial institutions in the world, including Fortis, Barclays, Societe Generale, Fisch and Alliance. He navigated the financial crisis of 2008-2009 and remained with the bank to see it acquired in 2012.
In 2013 he joined Eastern Consolidated, one of New York’s premier commercial real estate firms where he specialized in investment sales. His diverse skill set enabled him to underwrite, understand, and manage a variety of deals. This resulted in approximately $150 million dollars in transactions.
Mr. Levine’s charitable interests include the Grace Institute, a charity for underserved women in New York City. In 2011, he spearheaded the creation of the Junior Advisory Board at the Grace Institute, which he chaired for two years.
